MEET instructor Ben Chun wins MIT Inspirational Teacher Award!

MEET congratulates Ben Chun on winning the 2010 MIT Inspirational Teacher Award! Ben Chun is an experienced secondary school teacher in San Francisco and 2010 MEET instructor. Last summer, Ben led a team of MIT instructors to develop and deliver curriculum to MEET Year 3 students. Under Ben’s guidance and that of the other Y3 instructors, the students developed an unique cultural Q&A website. No small accomplishment!.

The MIT Inspirational Teacher Award recognizes outstanding secondary school teachers who inspire in their students a love of learning, encourage them to pursue excellence, and give them the skills and enthusiasm they need to make a positive difference in the world.

Ben was an exemplary MEET instructor, inspiring excellence in students and fellow instructors alike. He has continued to mentor MEET yearlong instructors and is a key member of the MIT MEET curriculum team. We are extremely grateful for the time and effort he devotes to MEET. Congratulations Ben!
